Oxygen Generator: Concept Design

Another placeable and interactable machine, I based the silhouette of the oxygen generator off of a pair of lungs to help communicate its function. I had a lot of fun creating sci-fi versions of interwar gauges and indicators for the diagetic holograms, which had to convey a lot of information in a relatively small footprint. As with the other shipboard machines, I created a concept model to test scale and player interaction, then painted it over as a final concept image to show texture and finish. I then handed the model off to a 3D artist, who refined and textured the model into the final asset.
