Another placeable and interactable machine, I used circular motifs to convey the idea of a chunky, heavy-duty power core. The kind of thing you wouldn't want to pop open unless you really had to! As with the other shipboard machines, I created a concept model to test scale and player interaction, then painted it over as a final concept image to show texture and finish. I then handed the model off to a 3D artist, who refined and textured the model into the final asset.
